National Society of Christian Women

Statement of Faith

As members of the National Society of Christian Women, we affirm the following Biblical truths as the foundation of our faith and fellowship:

1. God

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things, worthy of worship, love, and obedience. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

2. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. He will return one day in power and glory. (John 1:1,14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11)

3. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, and dwells within them. He empowers Christians to live holy lives, equips them for service, and unites them in Christ. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23)

4. The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, life, and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

5. Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We are saved by His death and resurrection, not by our works, and are called to live as new creations in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

6. The Church

We believe in the universal Church—the body of Christ—made up of all believers across nations, cultures, and generations. The local church is God’s design for worship, discipleship, fellowship, and mission. (Ephesians 4:4-6; Hebrews 10:24-25)

7. Christian Living

We believe that as women of faith, we are called to love God wholeheartedly, love others sacrificially, walk in holiness, and live as witnesses of Christ in our homes, churches, and communities. (Matthew 22:37-39; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Matthew 5:16)

8. Marriage & Family

We believe that God created marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman and that family is the foundation of a healthy society. As Christian women, we seek to nurture our families in the Lord and uphold Biblical values in our homes. (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-33; Proverbs 31:25-28)

9. The Great Commission

We believe we are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world and to make disciples, beginning in our own homes and communities. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)
